On December 5, 2024 the first cohort of Work Advance students from the NCUS class at the Lima Central District Hub graduated. Nine students were in this group and Ohio Governor Mike Dewine visited with them and offered congratulations. Two of the graduates are employed and the remaining seven are applying for jobs.
The training was offered as part of the Good Jobs Challenge grant being managed by the West Central Ohio Manufacturing Partnership for the Ohio Manufacturers Association. Training for entry level manufacturing employees, pre-apprentice programs, and incumbent employee skills training are being conducted with this grant.
