I am involved with WestCOMP because I have always enjoyed manufacturing and the people who work in making products. This organization gives industry the platform to increase awareness of our vital role in the community, help get young people interested in manufacturing, and assist educational institutions in providing training that allows students to be employed in manufacturing. WestCOMP has established a scholarship for area students entering manufacturing trades and engineering curriculum, a teacher boot camp, and a STEM program is currently in the works.
WestCOMP provides a great networking platform to work with other manufacturers to support each and overcome common challenges to our organizations and increase community awareness of the great careers available in manufacturing.
